We help both new and existing businesses in the Eden and South Lakeland districts of Cumbria.
We also support farmers and rural businesses producing distinctive, Cumbrian products throughout the county.

Cumbria Farm Link / Farming Connect Cumbria / Cumbria Organic Support Network

What do they do?

• Are you a farmer?
• Are you looking for information, help, advice or funding?

Cumbria Farm Link is the part of CREA which offers help to farming businesses in Cumbria:

• If you need a broader look at both the business and environmental side of your farm, we can help you, through Farming Connect Cumbria (FCC), to put together a sustainable development plan (SDP) covering the next 5 to 10 years.

FCC also offers farm development grants (now fully committed) and specialist technical consultancy grants to help carry out this plan. This scheme is available until March 2008.

• If you are farming organically, or are interested in doing so, the Cumbria Organic Support Network can give you help and guidance. This scheme is available until April 2008.

The network brings together people interested in organic production in and around Cumbria - farmers, growers, processors, retailers and consumers. It aims to increase communication, awareness and competence among people who are interested in producing, marketing, promoting and eating organic food.
