Cumbria Business Volunteer Mentor Service |

What is the Business Mentoring Service?
|
| A free and confidential service available to anyone who is running a new or existing small enterprise or is self-employed which can provide an experienced and impartial guide to help you achieve your business aims. It complements the other sources of business advice available.
Mentors are professionals and business people from varying backgrounds. Mentoring is a unique partnership set up by two individuals, shaped by the needs and aspirations of the client and the talents and resources of the Mentor. It is not the same as business advice, it is usually a longer term relationship that can support and guide you until you agree you no longer need it.
|
Potential Benefits of Mentoring are:
• Increased confidence
• Improved business skills
• Reduced isolation
• Help to cope with change
• Provides access to new networks
• Encouragement to try new ways of doing things
• Provides links to other forms of business support

How Does the Cumbria Business Mentoring Scheme work? |
Step 1 If you would like to Request a Business Mentor contact lynne@crea.co.uk or phone 01539 726624 . We will contact you to discuss your business objectives and the support you might need so we can match you with the most appropriate Business Mentor.
Step 2 You and your Mentor will agree what you want to achieve, how often you will meet, how long you wish to see each other and when you no longer need the service. It is your business and you remain in control of the relationship.
Cumbria Rural Enterprise Agency delivers the scheme on behalf of CLEAN and Business Link throughout Cumbria. It is part of a national network of business volunteer mentoring schemes across England funded by the Small Business Service.
